AS Rome | José Mourinho releases promise

José Mourinho keeps his word: The Star coach of AS Rome has given his 18-year-old striker Felix Afena-Gyan 800 Euro expensive shoes as a thank you for a double pack at the series-a-duel against the FC Genoa.

The Youngster from Ghana, who is already celebrated in Italy as a new Samuel To'o, had taken care of the first double pack of his career for a 2: 0 away win.

Mourinho had no choice but to redeem his promise. I promised Felix that I buy his favorite shoes when he meets. So I had to buy them now, Mourinho said after the game on Sunday.

800 euros cost the sneakers of a luxury brand (Balenciaga) who wished Afena-Gyan. The handover was filmed and released as a video. The top talent is the pleasure to see clearly, especially since he even received a newer model as originally planned.

Through the cooperation project Africa FC Academy Afena-Gyan is under contract until 2023 in Rome. In January 2021 he had still played student football in Ghana.
